Our festival is dedicated to bringing a genre typically confined to private spaces back into the public realm of cinema.

FUTURE OF S/X PRN SHORTS‘26

Knock knock - the future is already here. If you are not seeing s/x after the collapse of humanity, you might be in the wrong film. This year’s short film selection blends reality with imagination, where the lines between subject and object, drone and human, begin to blur. AI-generated PRN reflects the past, while bodies exist in constant mutation. In Future of S/x you will travel far ahead, and strangely back home, to familiar Y2K aesthetics of Tamagotchis and early cyberse/. These glimpses of a time not yet lived may feel distant, yet they linger long after the screen goes dark.

World Premiere - Opening Film 2026

Lola sets out to make a film about happiness and love in all their forms. Very quickly, she runs into the difficulty of bringing such a project to life: encounters fall through, stories slip away, and reality resists her expectations. Determined not to give up, Lola continues her search, accumulating dead ends — until she meets Penelope.

Penelope invites her to discover the House of Better Men, a place imagined and embodied by women who explore the transformation of masculinity as a catalyst for broader social change.

Lola and her team are swept into a funny and inventive whirlwind, where singing, dancing, and unexpected adventures become tools to question love, desire, and the possibility of collective happiness.

We are very happy that director @anoushka_movies will be present in person for the world premiere, and we are already very much looking forward to welcoming her to Vienna.
