In the feature documentary KITKATCLUB – KINKS OF BERLIN, we immerse ourselves in the mysterious world of one of the most iconic clubs in the world, and accompany very different people through their Berlin nights. We meet Tim, alias Raven Van Krueger, who wants to make it big as a drag artist.
Elisa discovers a new sexuality with her friends, a BDSM couple loves publicly, a dog play duo lives stability and excess, David tries to fight his way out of addiction. And club founder Simon seems out of step with the times - like many who once laid the foundations of the legendary KitKatClub.
Performances, discussions about consent, tender conversations with fathers, encounters between bodies and souls. KITKATCLUB – KINKS OF BERLIN is a cinematic experience about freedom, intimacy, identity, sex, and unlearning shame - raw and poetic at the same time.
About Philipp Fussenegger
He is an Austrian director, screenwriter, and producer. His film Henry received the FIRST STEPS Award in 2016. His documentary debut I Am The Tigress (2021) screened at festivals including Hot Docs and IDFA. Teaches of Peaches premiered at the 2024 Berlinale and won the Teddy Award. His new documentary about Berlin’s legendary KitKatClub is about to premiere. He is currently developing the sci-fi drama Kokeshi, a film exploring body transformation and the algorithms designed to help humans find their perfect match.
