Lola sets out to make a film about happiness and love in all their forms. Very quickly, she runs into the difficulty of bringing such a project to life: encounters fall through, stories slip away, and reality resists her expectations. Determined not to give up, Lola continues her search, accumulating dead ends — until she meets Penelope. Penelope invites her to discover the House of Better Men, a place imagined and embodied by women who explore the transformation of masculinity as a catalyst for broader social change. Lola and her team are swept into a funny and inventive whirlwind, where singing, dancing, and unexpected adventures become tools to question love, desire, and the possibility of
collective happiness.

About Anoushka
A director known for her intimate and socially conscious films, Anoushka reinvents herself
with Chronique d'un été, a musical comedy. After À mes amours (2023) and Chaos (2024), she continues her exploration of emotions, bodies, and the staging of intimacy, this time choosing humor and song as her creative vehicles. By writing the lyrics and actively participating in the musical creation, Anoushka gives the film a unique, personal and embodied voice. She affirms that joyful cinema can be political, that a musical can be intimate, and that laughter, like music, can become a powerful tool for emancipation.
PRE-FILM:
Spitting on Pigeons by by Arnaud Gane & Matthias Jaklitsch, Austria 2026, English, 24min (World premiere!)
“I started watching porn and thought, this is it - this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I never want to make a non‑porn movie again,” says Menelas, president of the Athens Porn Film Festival. Why are movies - and porn - so deeply rooted in queer culture? What does the spread of porn festivals across Europe reveal about queer spaces, empowerment, and inclusivity? Do you have any clue? We did the investigation for you, under the most extreme conditions - including a jacuzzi - interviewing key figures from the scene. This film is a wild blend of their wisdom, our stupidity, and a few existential questions about pigeons.
