In this workshop, you’ll get an introduction to Shibari through guided practice. You’ll learn how to start a rope session, explore basic ties, and discover what rope can do. We focus on safety, communication, and consent.
Shibari is a mindful encounter with bodies and sensation, where touch and tension create space for pleasure and self-expression.
We provide rope – please bring a partner or contact us and we may help connect you.
The Rope Rebels are a Vienna-based, queer-friendly Shibari group. We create a welcoming space to explore rope bondage as an art form and express creativity through rope.
WHAT TO BRING ALONG
Wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing—ideally something that allows you to move and relax freely (avoid wired bras or anything tight or limiting).
Please bring a yoga mat or something soft to sit or lie on, as well as blankets and a pillow if you’d like extra comfort, especially for your head.
You’re also welcome to bring a notebook or something to write with. No prior experience or special equipment is needed.
